This painting was inspired by hikes I used to take in Washington during spring and summer — the kind where you turn a corner and suddenly you're in a field full of wildflowers, with the sun starting to dip behind the hills. There’s something peaceful about that kind of scene — quiet, open, and full of color without being loud.
